It is, of course, also essential that the Colony's natural harbour, and port facilities should be preserved and developed on the right lines, since Hong Kong is the focal point of our trade in the Far East and its entrepôt trade plays a large part in the economy of the territory.
Sir Mark Young, the Governor of Hong Kong, is very anxious indeed to secure your services, and I need hardly add that we in the Colonial Office share his hopes.
